Free float from viewpoint of Independent Minority Shareholder

Three stock market investors with substantial portfolios Friday wrote to the Chairmen and Members of both the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Colombo Stock Exchange raising many matters relating to the SEC’s free float directives.

 

The representation of these investors, Messrs. K.C. Vignarajah, Dilesh Jayanntha and Tissa Seneviratne focused on matters of interest to independent minority shareholders (IMS) in relation to controlling shareholders (CS) and related parties (RP).

 

They copied their letter to the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank.
